Galway auction sees three Donegal properties sell for a total of €140,000

An All-Day auction hosted by Galway company O’Donnellan and Joyce yesterday saw €5m raised on property sales in the West and North West, including three Donegal properties.
A two bedroomed cottage at Glengesh, close to Ardara was secured or €35,000. In Stranorlar, a two bedroomed apartment at Castle Place sold for €25,000 while a five bedroomed etached house on 0.75 acres at the Old Rectory in Ballyshannon, sold for €80k.
1,000 acres of forestry land in Mayo and Donegal sold for an undisclosed sum.
