A cyclist has died and a second injured in a collision in Inishowen.
Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Moneydarragh on the Redcastle to Gleneely road. It happened at about 9.15 this morning.
A cyclist in his 40s was fatally injured in a collision with a van. A second cyclist injured in the incident was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The driver of the van was not injured.
The road at the scene remains closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and gardai have indicated it’s likely to remain so for the rest of the day.
