Derry City have secured their top flight status for another season after they beat bottom of the table Limerick at the Market’s Field.
After a scoreless first half, Mark Timlin put the Paul Hegarty managed side ahead on 54 minutes.
City then doubled their score with Barry McNamee scoring on 63 minutes.
With two games left Limerick are in real danger of being relegated as they remain two points behind Drogheda.
