In the aftermath of their bloody battle last weekend in Las Vegas, the UFC and the Nevada State Commission have delivered their medical suspensions to Joseph Duffy and his victorious opponent Dustin Poirier.
Donegal man Duffy, has been suspended from competitive fighting for 30 days with no contact for 21 days while Poirier is facing a longer lay off after suffering a broken nose.
The Diamond has been suspended for 180 days with a minimum of 45 as doctor clearance is required on his fractured nose, with no contact for the first 30 days.
Duffy is now 2-1 in the UFC after Saturday’s defeat while Poirier has progressed 3-0 since moving up to lightweight.
