Ian McGarvey considers running in forthcoming General Election

A Donegal councillor could be on the verge of becoming the oldest ever general election candidate in Ireland.
Cllr Ian Mc Garvey, who is currently 85, has confirmed he intends running in the forthcoming general election as an independent candidate.
He’s been a member of Donegal County Council for some time, and has served as mayor of the county.
