Letterkenny Municipal District Councillors have backed calls for the installation of a pedestrian crossing or other safety measures at a notoriously dangerous junction in Kilmacrennan.
The junction, which is used by children walking to school, has been the scene of a number of crashes and near misses over the years with fears that it is only a matter of time before a life is lost.
The issue was raised by Councillor John O’Donnell who says a number of safety options will now be looked at:
