Killybegs Council concerned over potentially toxic waste being dumped at sea

killybegsThe Killybegs Community Council says it strongly objects to plans by the Department of Agriculture to dump potentially toxic material from the harbour out to sea.
While the Council is welcoming the dredging work which will extend the quay creating additional birthing and a bigger operational area, it insists the material dredged must be properly disposed of.
Eimer McGuinness is Chairperson of the Community Council which has formally objected the the dredging- she’s accused the Department of not properly consulting on the plans with the local community:
