
The Sperrin DEA in Derry City and Strabane District Council has a new representative.
Cllr Collette McAllister has been co-opted onto the council following the departure of Paul Boggs, who has since been co-opted to the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont.
Originally from Antrim, Cllr McAllister moved to Strabane in 2022. She holds a Master’s degree in Gender, Conflict and Human Rights Law.
A member of Sinn Féin since the age of 15, she has worked at various levels within the party, including alongside former MEP Martina Anderson in 2018 and 2019, and in the party’s policy development unit at the Assembly.
