Home and Community Care Ireland, the national representative body for independent home care providers, has published a report claiming there’s a stark Eircode lottery in terms of access to home care.
The analysis finds HSE West and North West Region has the highest waiting list of any HSE Health Region, as well as the highest percentage of people aged 65 and older.
Donegal has 346 waiting, and while that’s not the highest number recorded in the country, HCCI says Donegal has the country’s second-highest waiting list relative to the population.
