Donegal Deputy Charlie Mc Conalogue is being challenged to explain why he is prepared to prop up a Fine Gael led government, while at the same time criticising the party for the delays in implementing the National Broadband Strategy.
Senator Padraig Mac Lochlainn says Deputy Mc Conalogue was one of the four Deputies who were part of Fianna Fáil’s negotiating team in the recent talks with Fine Gael, but seems not to have identified broadband as a key issue in those talks.
Senator Mac Lochlainn says if Deputy McConalogue really believes Fine Gael’s performance is an ‘an absolute disgrace’, as his weekend statement suggests, then he and Fianna Fail should have made broadband a redline issue at the negotiations…………….
