Donegal Senator Padraig Mac Lochlainn has rejected a claim by Acting Minister Joe Mc Hugh that the delay in implementing the National Broadband Plan will be less than two years.
Last week, it emerged there would be delays in the procurement and tendering progess that would delay the programme.
MInister Mc Hugh last week moved to ease concern about the Department of Communication’s statement, but Senator Mac Lochlainn says it is clear that the delay will be substantial, and that’s unacceptable:
