After last weekend’s defeat to Sligo Rovers , Derry City got back to winning ways in the SSE Airtricty Premier Division on Friday night, beating St Patrick’s Athletic 0-1 at Richmond Park.
Ramelton’s Barry McNamee scored the games only goal and a cracker it was too.
McNamee played a neat one two with Rory Patterson and then volleyed into net for a fantastic goal just past the hour mark.
Derry’s seventh win of the season moves them into second in the table, two points ahead of Cork City who play Bray on Saturday.
Kenny Shiels Candystrips still trail leaders Dundalk by five points, they beat Galway 2-1.
