Donegal walker has stepped up his preparations for the Rio Olympics by competing in the Race Walking World Cup in Italy.
Regular 50k walker Brendan (29), from Milford, completed in the 20k and finished in a time of 85:30.
His team manager Patsy McGonagle said this time is “in and around where he needs to be” and added that this event is part of his training for the Olympics in Rio this summer.
Patsy said Brendan wasn’t too downbeat by his performance, but Patsy added that the overall team performance was not great.
