Police appeal for information after youths attempt to hijack a number of cars in Derry

 
Police in Derry are appealing for information following the attempted hijacking of a number of cars at the junction of Ardmore Road/Milltown Crescent and in the Tullyally area shortly after midnight this morning. 
It was reported that at around 00.20am a number of cars were stopped by a group of youths on the Ardmore Road near the Tullyally Road in an attempt to hijack them.
One of the youths was reported to be carrying a baseball bat.
Police are appealing for anyone with information who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or have information about the incident to contact police at Strand Road on 101.
