A Donegal County Councillor is calling for the piers on Owey Island to be upgraded to facilitate the increase in tourism there.
It has been revealed that Donegal County Council is to receive the least amount of funding of a new grant which is being distributed among four county councils in the country.
The funding is for improvement works on various islands in the county.
