Marine rescue services in Canada are among those praising the brave rescue of two people from a yacht which went aground on rocks at St Johns Point in the early hours of this morning.
Killybegs Coastguard, the Arranmore RNLI and the Sligo based Rescue 118 helicopter were involved in the rescue of the two canadians in difficult conditions.
News of the rescue has spread across social media.
