Donegal Jiu Jitsu Fighter – Wins Gold in Paris.

Convoy Native TJ Mcmenamin took part in the prestigious International tournament -the IBBJF Paris International Open ovr the weekend.
He competed in both the Gi & No-Gi divisions, winning gold in the Gi Masters blue belt heavyweight division, with victory in the final over a German opponent.
He also secured double silver in the No-Gi tournament, in the Masters heavy weight, and open weight divisions.
TJ lost out to the same opponent from Portugal in two tough close fought finals .
TJ is an experienced veteran International competitor who has won already won three European medals, two golds & a bronze this year.
Letterkenny man Raymond Hultman, also took part in the Adult blue belt middle heavy division,in his first IBJJF ranked tournament, and secured a bronze medal.
Overall the two fighters secured five medals in total for their club.
Both fighters train out of Rilion Gracie Letterkenny gym, which is Donegal’s only full time BJJ / MMA club. The club will be hoping to sending a squad of fighters to the Europeans BJJ finals, to be held in Lisbon Portugal, in late January early next year.
