Funding for phase two of Blackburn Bridge project expected in January

It’s hoped that work on phase two of the Blackburn Bridge project – one of Donegal’s most infamous black spots – will be granted funding in the New Year.
Work has already taken place to remove bends and widen the road near Cappry outside Ballybofey however it’s understood that a further half million euro is needed to improve safety measures there.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland has already approved plans by Donegal County Council for the work.
Local Councillor Patrick McGowan says it expected that the project will be included its budget for 2017:
