The GAA Programme, in association with Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure, is broadcast every Wednesday from 8.30pm – 9pm.
On this week’s programme, Ahead of Donegal’s opening game of the new season, Sunday’s Dr McKenna Cup clash with UUJ, in Ballybofey, Tom Comack is joined by two former Donegal winners of the Dr McKenna Cup.
Donal Breslin from Gaoth Dobhair was a member of the first Donegal team to win the Dr McKenna Cup, in 1963 and Seamie Granaghan, from Bundoran was a key forward in the 1967 winning Dr McKenna Cup team.
Donal and Seamie will recall their own Dr McKenna Cup memories and what it was like to play for Donegal, back in the 1960’s, and on teams that came agonisingly close to making the big breakthrough.
