A Donegal Deputy is calling on the Government to begin implementing the recommendations of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Finance, in a bid to tackle the problem of spiralling insurance costs.
Since January 2011 the cost of car insurance has rocketed by 51% in some instances, with business customers needing to insure cars, vans or fleets faring even worse.
Deputy Charlie McConalogue also says while the Commitee have focused thus far on motor insurance it’s time to look at problems elsewhere:
