Donegal’s participation in the Dr McKenna Cup came to an end on Wednesday night suffering a heavy 17 point defeat to Tyrone in their final group game.
Declan Bonner’s under-21 side represented the county in the competition suffering three defeats in their three games, also losing to Ulster University and Cavan.
The Donegal manager feels the defeat will not have a negative impact on his side ahead of the championship tie against their neighbours in March.
The under 21’s are back in action on Saturday against Mayo in the North West Cup in Ballina.
