Plans to open Arranmore lighthouse to the public are understood to be a step closer following a positive meeting held on the island this week.
It is hoped to have a tea room and tourist information there creating a platform for people who want to know more about the area.
There are also plans in motion to provide a community space on the island with a view of having outdoor events and parking facilities.
Cllr Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig has invited all Donegal TDs to a meeting in May in a bid to secure funding for the two projects………………….
