Pobailscoil Gaoth Dobhair are Derryveagh Crystal Donegal School’s Golf Champions 2017.

The senior schools golf final was played at glorious Dunfanaghy Golf Club this week.
Pobailscoil Gaoth Dobhair got off to a great start with 4 handicapper Hugh Gallagher scoring 35 pts and he was backed up by Michael O Duibheir playing off a 6 handicap on 39 pts.
St. Eunan’s College put in a big effort with Michael Shiels and Ronan Daly to the fore each on 37 pts but it was the final card of the day that won the day for Gaoth Dobhair as Dylan O Duibheir scored a great 38 pts.
Gaoth Dobhair finished on 177.
St. Eunan’s College were second followed by St. Columba’s College, Stranorlar and Scoil Mhuire, Buncrana in 4th
All the schools would like to thank Mr. Pat Swaine for his 26th year sponsoring the School’s Golf Championship and also the Clubs who hosted events throughout the year especially Dunfanaghy who hosted the final with a course in great condition and their generous hospitality to the students.
