It is hoped that the Maternity Theatre at Letterkenny University Hospital, which has been disused for 13 years, will open in 2018.
Deputy Pearse Doherty has been told by hospital management that commissioning the bespoke maternity theatre at the hospital is now being treated as a matter of priority.
