Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif comes to Donegal

The inaugural Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif will spend it’s remaining days this week in Donegal.
The event is open to leisure cyclists, amateurs and those who simply want to challenge themselves to an epic adventure, on one of the longest and most spectacular touring routes in the world.
This is not a race, there is no trophy for the winner but it comes with the full support that a tour would have.
The cycle started in Kinsale County Cork on the 13th of this month and is making its way up the west coast.
Today’s 14th stage will leave Donegal Town taking in 86k on route to Ardara.
Wednesday’s 104k stage is from Ardara to Dunfanagah, on Thursday they’ll make their way to Letterkenny taking in 110k and then finishing in Muff on Friday after 135k on the road.
Cyclists can register for any stage up to the day before. More details are available on their website wildatlanticwaycyclesportif.ie or on their facebook page.
There is a cost to take part.
