18 year old released after being questioned over death of Derry man

An 18 year old male arrested by Detectives from Serious Crime Branch investigating the death of Jordan McConomy in Derry during the early hours of Sunday last has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
Detectives had been granted an additional 36 hours to question him.
19 year old Jordan McConomy from Rossnagalliagh was seriously injured following an altercation in the William Street area of Derry and died a short time later as a result of his injuries.
Police are continuing to appeal to anyone who was in the vacinity between 1:45am and 2:15am and has any information to come forward.
