Naomh Colmcille defeated Red Hughs with a scoreline of 2-07 v 0-08 in O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny this afternoon to claim the Donegal Junior Championship.
It was a Ryan McErlean goal for Naomh Colmcille in the first half that was the difference between the sides at the break where the score was 1-04 v 0-04.
Naomh Colmcille stretched their lead to 5 points in the second half, but Red Hughs fought back to bring them to within a point with 3 minutes to go.
The killer blow came on 28 minutes of the second half through a goal from Matthew Crossan, which left 5 points between the sides, and it stayed like that until the final whistle.
