The Seanad has been told that efforts must be increased to secure extra funding from Europe to restore facilities and amentities damaged in the August 22nd floods in Inishowen.
Senator Padraig Mac Lochlainn said efforts must also be redoubled to fasttrack flood defence measures and ensure the devastation is not repeated.
Speaking to Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran in the Seanad this evening, Senator Mac Lochlainn said his response had been a positive one, and he urged the minister to ensure that the momentum which built up in the aftermath of the August 22nd floods is not lost………..
