A warning has been issued to Churches across Donegal following a theft at St Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon.
It is understood the incident occurred yesterday afternoon with those responsible making off with an unknown sum of money from a number of Shrine Boxes.
This is the third time the Church has been targeted this year.
Speaking to Highland Radio News, Fr Francis Lynch described it as an opportunistic attack.
He says they are not sure how much has be taken yet but he wishes to alert other Churches to prevent against similar incidents:
