Concern has been raised over a decision to block work being carried out in West Donegal to protect against coastal erosion.
Funding has been secured by Donegal County Council to carry out repair works at Braade, Carrickfinn, to build up the existing dunes as part of works to protect the area from further erosion.
However, Councillor Micheal Cholm MacGiolla Easbuig has expressed disappointment following a decision taken by National Parks and Wildlife to deny the works to be carried out.
He says there is a sense of urgency for the works to get underway:
