An Inishowen Cllr says he’s disappointed at Minister Boxer Moran’s response to calls for work to be carried out on rivers in Donegal.
Cllr Martin McDermott believes one of the key contributors to the extent of flooding in August was the amount of debris in the county’s rivers and met with the Minister in Carndonagh yesterday to discuss the issue.
However it’s understood that the Minister said the responsibility does not necessailty lie with the OPW.
While acknowledging that there are other elements to contend with, Cllr. McDermott says the response is simply not good enough:
