MEP and first Vice-President of the European Parliament Mairead McGuinness has warned that Ireland must not become fixated on Brexit.
Speaking on Saturday at a regional meeting of the Eisenhower Fellowship of Ireland in Dundalk, McGuiness said that the departure of the UK from the European Union cant dictate the future.
She said Donegal’s concerns over Brexit are well-founded and that sufficient care must be taken to ensure the county’s security in terms of trading partnerships between Europe and the UK going forward:
