Donegal included in new pilot programme to attract diaspora home

Tourism Ireland says the large Donega presence at this year’s Milwaukee Irish Fest will pay dividends in terms o attracting more people from the US to visit Ireland in the coming months and years.

A number of hotels in the county were represented on a recent trade mission which also included Donegal County Council and Donegal Airport.
Meanwhile, today, it was confirmed that Donegal is bering included in a pilot programme to launch the Global Irish Festival Series, intended to attract members of the diaspora home,.

He says such initiatives are important as efforts continue to boost Donegal’s visitor numbers…….
