Brexit having negative effect on new car sales in Ireland

Brexit is having a negative effect on new car sales in Ireland.
The significant fall in the value of sterling – due to the uncertainty of the UK’s future – is causing more people to import cheaper cars from Britain.
The latest Consumer Market Monitor shows that new car sales in Ireland are down by over 15 thousand – a drop-off of 10.5 percent – between 2016 and 2017.
