Strike action at Rapid Action Packaging postponed for talks

Members of the SIPTU union at the Rapid Action Packaging (RAP) have deferred strike action planned for Tuesday morning.
The 24 hour work stoppage was postponed on Monday evening when SIPTU members received a proposal from the company that both parties enter a process to resolve the current dispute.
The dispute began amid claims from SIPTU that the company refused to recognise workers rights to union representation for collective bargaining purposes at the factory.
