Magee clan start Irish Open today

Chloe and Sam Magee begin their quest for a maiden mixed doubles national title today.
The Raphoe siblings play their opening game at Badminton’s Irish Open in the National Indoor Arena in Blanchardstown, Dublin against one of the first round qualifiers.
The Magee’s were mixed doubles runners up in the 2017 decider.
It’s going to be a busy day for their cousin Rachel Darragh.
She partners Sara Boyle in the doubles against a Czech Republic pairing, then Rachel teams with Paul Reynolds in the mixed doubles and will wrap up the day with a singles contest against a French opponent.
There’s two games scheduled today for Joshua Magee, he plays the 7th seed from the Netherlands in the men’s singles and later teams with Paul Reynolds in the men’s doubles against an English duo.
