Donegal County Council is being urged to extend its gritting programme to include the road to Glendowan National School, and the area around Rockhill and Bomany on the outskirts of Letterkenny.
The issue was raised at a Letterkenny Municipal District meeting by Cllr James Pat Mc Daid, who says while these are not designated as major roads by the council, they are very busy routes.
Officials said next year’s gritting programme has been passed with no additions, but Cllr Mc Daid says the council should respond to local need, particularly with regards to the school………….
