Over 15,000 awaiting outpatient appointments at LUH


Over 15,000 people are awaiting an outpatient appointment at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Latest figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund show that as of the end of October, 72,000 people have been waiting for an inpatient or day case procedures across the country.
Figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund show that 15,542 people have been waiting for a first appointment at a consultant-led Outpatient clinic at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Of those patients, 2771 have been waiting over 18 months.
Meanwhile, 1808 people have been waiting for Inpatient or Day Case treatment at the hospital, down slightly on last month’s figure of 1899.
184 of those waiting an inpatient or day case appointment have been waiting a year or more.
