Ronan Curtis was on the mark again for Portsmouth on Tuesday night.
Curtis and Oli Hawkins both struck in a 2-0 victory over Walsall that maintains their four-point lead at the top of the League One table.
That’s now seven goals this campaign for the former Derry City striker.
He told the club website, “Thankfully the ball came to me at the right time from Jamal and I was able to put it in. I used my body to hold off the defender, swivelled and hit it.
“We’ve spoken about it in training – it’s getting your timing correct so you’re in the box at the right time.
““There’s a great chemistry around the training ground and that’s the reason why we’re top of the league.”
“It’s great to be back on the scoresheet and it’s been a long time coming. Hopefully now the confidence is back up and I can get a few more from the team.
“We’ve all got a good relationship and we’re all getting goals. It’s taken a bit of time, but everyone is gelling.

“The confidence is flowing and you’re not going to lose that if you keep winning games. Hopefully we can keep it going.
“It was comfortable enough in the end against Walsall. We knew what we had to do and dug in deep to get the clean sheet and the win.”
