Bohemians Finn Harps league opener to go ahead

Harps can now focus their attentions fully on Friday week’s League of Ireland premier Division opener against Bohs
The game had been in some doubt due to the Dalymount Park club’s involvement in the Irn Bru Cup in Scotland.
However, on Monday Bohs pulled out of the competition following discussions with the FAI, the SPFL and East Fife.
The late postponement of Saturday’s quarter-final against East Fife at Dalymount Park presented both clubs and both associations with a logistical nightmare
And in a statement issued, the League of Ireland side said they were withdrawing from the competition – meaning Friday week’s opening league game at home to Finn harps goes ahead as scheduled.
