The Taoiseach has been told that what people need is more than a debate in relation to delays in the allocation of home help hours.
As of the end of April, over 6,300 people were awaiting home help services.
During leaders questions in the Dail today, Leo Varadkar said the Government is keen to ensure the extra 800,000 home help hours allocated this year are delivered.
He was speaking in response to Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty who told the Taoiseach there are serious inefficiencies in the current system:
