Kilmacrenan rider Richard Kerr took a second podium finish at the weekend but also had his first DNF in the British Supersport Series this season.
Racing in Assen, the Netherland’s, Richard finished third in race 1 on Saturday which moved him up to 4th in the championship standings and placed him on the second row for race 2 on Sunday.
The second day didn’t go to plan, after dropping to 13th in the opening laps he worked his way up to 6th going into the final chicane but tucked the front end and crashed out with the flag just yards away.
An unfortunate end to a fantastic weekend for the team. Richard drops back to 5th, seven points off Matt Truelove with two rounds left.
The penultimate round in Donnington is in two weeks time.
