Donegal County Council has confirmed that a review of Pay and Display Car Parking Charges has begun and Councillors will be updated shortly on the matter.
The review is proposed to consider existing tariffs and also consider the feasibility of expanding of Pay and Display coverage to areas currently not included.
It follows calls for both Ballybofey and Stranorlar to be facilitated with half an hour free parking as is the case in other towns in Donegal.
Local Cllr Gary Doherty is hopeful that this review could pave the way for this to happen on a trial basis:
