The Government has been heavily criticised over what’s been described as a pitiful allocation of Garda recruits for Donegal.
New figures show that just 79 recruits were deployed to the county since 2015.
The data also shows that just 1.1% of new recruits or 31 Gardai have been deployed to the area covering South Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim and North Roscommon over the same five year period.
