1,000 school secretaries across the country will go on strike today.
They will also stage a series of rallies, including outside Education Minister Joe McHugh’s office in Letterkenny this afternoon at 1pm.
From Monday, school secretaries will continue industrial action, refusing to operate public service systems and databases.

The Education Minister has appealed to FÓRSA to defer today’s industrial action.
In a statement issued last evening, Minister Joe McHugh said his Department is open to further dialogue with the trade union and called for them to re-engage.
