A Donegal County Councillor has expressed disappointment after two minor projects for flood prevention works in the Twin Towns were rejected by an Bord Pleanala.
One application was to seek money to remove vegetation from embankments of the River Finn and the other was to clear three black spots along the rivers course.
Both were submitted under the same application however both were turned down.
Local Cllr Patrick McGowan says this minor work would have made a huge difference to the local community.
He believes that these developments now put a question mark over the timeframe for bigger projects.
