Four motorists have been caught speeding in the Letterkenny area on Bank Holiday Monday.
Gardaí from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit operated a number of speed checks throughout the day.
Drivers were clocked speeding at 141, 125, 128 and 126 kph in a 100 zone.
Gardai issued Fixed Charge Notices and those in question will now have to pay a fine of €80 and will receive 3 penalty points.
Gardai are reminding people that if you choose to speed, you could end up paying a much higher price, you could pay with your life.
You could suffer catastrophic injuries or you could irreversibly destroy the life/lives of other road users. Slow down and lessen your risk of having a collision.
Drive at a safe speed and always be in a position to stop abruptly and safely.
