Taoiseach lobbied to tackle hospital overcrowding in North West

A south Donegal Deputy is calling on the Taoiseach to take immediate action on hospital overcrowding in the North West.

Deputy Marian Harkin says the region is coming out on top time and time again when it comes to overcrowding.

Yesterday there were almost 80 people awaiting admission at both Letterkenny and Sligo University Hospitals, 54 of them in Letterkenny.

Speaking in the Dail Deputy Harkin says at Sligo University Hospital, which serves people living in south Donegal, there is a major issue around the employment of agency staff and it needs to be tackled urgently:
