There were 40 people awaiting admission to Letterkenny University Hospital this morning according to the INMO.
Eight people were on trolleys in its Emergency Department while a further 32 were waiting on wards.
Nationally, 440 admitted patients were waiting for beds this morning, 342 patients were waiting in the emergency department, while 98 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
