Covid isolation period could be lowered in coming weeks

People who contract Covid-19 could be allowed to return to work sooner under plans being considered by the government.

The 7-day isolation period could be reduced according to the Irish Independent as the public and private sector deal with staff shortages.

GP Dr Illona Duffy says the rules could be changed to 5-days but only if people have no acute symptoms and are negative on antigen tests:
